A tech hub, Coral Reef Innovation Lab with the aim of providing educational centres in the country with digital labs has introduced the Edtech Ghana Hackathons 2021.
Together with its partners, Coral Reef Innovation Lab through this initiative will promote Science, Technology, Arts and Maths (STEAM) for girls and digital literacy in all 16 regions.

Aside from the above, in its press statement, the group noted the need to have pupils have access to digital technology and communication tools for learning to be prepared for the global digital market owing to the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its full-stack solutions include providing tablets for students and laptops for teachers, create a virtual library, construct solar E-classrooms for areas not connected to the national electricity grid and train students on coding and robotics devices among others.
These smart labs will be funded by corporate organisations, charitable clubs and international organizations.
The tech hub is optimistic by the end of the year, the initiative would be running nationwide.
