The High Court hearing the state’s case against businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has set March 12, 2015, to give its judgment.
Both Mr. Woyome and the prosecution have been given January and February next year to file their final addresses with the court to help it determine the matter.
Joy News’ Kwakye Afreh Nuamah, who was in court, reported that Mr Woyome looked composed and unperturbed when the court set the date.
He is being prosecuted for allegedly defrauding the state by false pretences and causing financial loss to the state.
Mr Woyome obtained a 52 million Ghana cedis judgment debt award against the state.
The state now argues the money was fraudulently procured and brought criminal charges against the self-proclaimed financier of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The case has been pending in court for years.
