The Ashaiman Circuit Court has remanded a 22-year old woman into police custody for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend for allegedly planning to jilt her.Faustina Donkor, who works as an attendant at a restaurant in Community 4, Tema, pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempted murder.Before the incident, Faustina was alleged to have attempted to poison Michael Dawutey, his boyfriend, a 29 year old machine operator, by mixing a Vita Milk beverage drink with DDT. But Dawutey who smelt the pungent concoction refused to drink after she presented it to him.The court heard that on Sunday, October 2, Dawutey who felt he had had enough of the relationship asked the alluded separation for a while.But Faustina out of anger, dashed into their kitchen, pulled out a knife stabbed Dawutey in the left side of his abdomen.
Dawutey intestines gushed out as he shouted for help attracting family members and friends to the scene who rushed him to the Tema General Hospital for treatment.
Dawutey is said to be in intensive care.
