Division Two side Yorktown Football Club has established a partnership with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s top-flight club NK Jedinstvo Bihać to create development pathways for its players.
Yorktown FC Chief Executive Officer, Aruna Abdu recently concluded successful negotiations with overseas clubs, agents, and scouts, including representatives from NK Jedinstvo Bihać.
During his visit, Abdu also met with key stakeholders and the mayor of Bihać, who expressed strong support for the collaboration.

“I am excited and happy about the collaboration between Yorktown and Bihać. I look forward to this being a long-term partnership, not just a short-term arrangement,” Abdu told JoySports.
“This is a chance to elevate Yorktown players to the professional level. Our goal is to expand this opportunity to other African countries, including Benin, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, and Sierra Leone.”
Under the terms of the partnership, Yorktown FC will: select and recommend young, qualified Ghanaian players for training at NK Jedinstvo, cover or contribute to the costs associated with initial transportation and visa processing for players and coordinate with NK Jedinstvo on player arrival, accommodation, and integration.
Meanwhile, NK Jedinstvo Bihac will: provide training facilities, coaching, and professional support to enhance players’ skills for European competition, integrate players into official training sessions, development programs, and matches as appropriate and ensure players' well-being, including accommodation, healthcare, and basic needs.
