Viewers of Multi-TV will be treated to a double-header of LIVE Soccer action this Saturday, 15 January. Part One of the double header features a rejuvenated Schalke 04 doing battle against Hamburg.
Schalke 04 finished runners-up to Bayern Munich last season and after a torrid start to the season, have finally established some positive consistency that catapulted them from relegation candidates to 10th in the league.
Hamburg on the other hand slumped to ninth on the back of four defeats in their last six matches of the calendar year. Hamburg will hope to stop the rot that threatens to destroy their season by defeating Schalke 04 who are keen to continue from where they left off before Christmas.
Coverage of Schalke 04 vs. Hamburg starts at 5:00pm on Joy Sports and Adom TV only on Multi-TV. Ruud van Nistelrooy, who scored both goals against Schalke in a 2-1 win on the opening day of the season, is fit to lead the attack along with Anis Ben-Hatira, who has been guaranteed his place in the starting XI tomorrow.
Magath appears to have forgiven Jefferson Farfan for reporting back to training late after Christmas and he could well play a part tomorrow alongside Raul and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. "He has show that he is in good form,'' admitted Magath, who reports that the Peruvian has also recovered from a cold and is fully fit. Youngster Julian Draxler could also be part of the matchday squad for the first time after impressing during the Royal Blues' winter training camp.
Round 18 of the World’s most watched league-the Italian Serie A- features an exciting tie between a born-again Inter Milan, lead by the charismatic Leonardo and 15th placed Bologna. Inter Milan remain 11 points behind Leonardo’s former team AC Milan having played 2 games less than their city rivals.
Inter Milan coach Leonardo has urged his side to maintain their improved form when they host Bologna in Serie A tomorrow night. The Nerazzurri head into the game on the back of three consecutive wins, including Wednesday's 3-2 triumph over Genoa in the Coppa Italia. Rivals Bologna held Inter to a goalless draw in the first game of the campaign.
Last weekend's 2-0 win at Bari lifted Alberto Malesani's men to 10th in the standings. However, Bologna were hit with a fresh two-points decuction this week for failing to play their players' wages. The Italian club had been docked one point in December for similar reasons. The latest punishment has dropped Bologna to 15th in the table - just four points above the relegation zone.
Bologna remain unbeaten this year and are determined to increase their cushion over the drop zone this weekend."Considering all the problems the club has had, we have reacted in the best possible way," said Bologna striker Marco Di Vaio, who increased his tally to 11 goals last weekend."We are doing really well and we hope that we can keep it up.''
Internazionale vs. Bologna kicks-off at 7:45pm on both Adom TV and Joy Sports on Multi-TV later today. Pre-match discussions begin at 7:30pm.
