Ghanaian songstress, Jane Awindor, popularly known as Efya, has chosen to have fun over marriage.
She has hinted that she prefers to remain single than to get married. She explains that even if she would get married, it would be in about a decade to come.
This, according to her, will enable her live a happy life, something she believes getting married may ruin.
The love life of the silky songstress took centre stage in the Ghanaian media when rumours went viral on the various social media platforms that she was dating rapper Sarkodie.
Sarkodie responded swiftly denying the rumours but confessed kissing Efya on set as they were shooting his hit track ‘I’m in Love with You’.
Speaking on ‘Showbiz Filla’ on Hitz FM, Efya said that she is now concentrating more on making money than getting marriage.
Efya further told Amanda Jisseh on the show that there is nothing enjoyable about marriage especially in today’s generation.
“I want to be successful so I don’t want anything complicated. I don’t want to get married and get divorced then my kids will have to move from one house to the other,” she said.
The ‘Best In Me’ hit singer however said that she is optimistic that she would one day meet the special gentleman of her life who will understand her and accept her justthe way she is.
“I can get anybody I want, so when I am ready I will give it the chance,” she said with a beam of a smile in her face.
