The event is slated for Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the College of Physicians & Surgeons in Accra.
Speaking to the media he said the theme for this year’s awards, “Engineers, rise up to reconstruct the Nation” makes it imperative for Engineers to be part of it
“It is a very important theme for Engineers in the country; especially, the young and newly inducted Engineers. Council has agreed, therefore, that all Engineers who attend this year’s Engineers Excellence Awards will gain CPD points”, he said.
The EEA of GhIE has been established to reflect on and recognize the valuable contributions that individuals and organizations make, to inspire their continued involvement and those of others, and to promote the key role of the engineering profession in public life, whilst ensuring that our members become accountable to their works.
It recognizes valuable contributions and extraordinary performance in all aspects of the engineering professions and provides a strong awareness of the profession among related professions, all sectors and the general public.
All nominations received so far are being reviewed by a panel and successful nominees will be communicated to by October 15, 2015.
The winners for the awards will receive specially designed award and citation of recognition to mark their achievements.
