The National Planning Committee of the 2012 National Road Safety Awards has insisted that journalists of the media category of the 2012 National Road Safety Awards which was launched August 15, 2012 that nominations will close this Friday.
Journalists are invited to send nominations for the following categories in the 2012 National Road Safety Award scheduled for October 3rd at the State Banquet Hall.
The categories are:
a.Best road safety report- Print
b.Best road safety report- Radio
c.Best road safety report- Television
According to a statement from the National Road Safety Commission, the nominations for the award should be publications relevant to the National Road Safety Strategy III & the National Road Safety Action Plans and published as news stories, features, editorials, documentaries and discussion programmes between November 2011 and August 30,2012.
The statement also admonished that the entries must come in printed copies for the print category and recorded copies of publications for the electronic (Radio and Television) category indicating the name of the author, time and date of publications and submitted to; The Chairman, National Planning Committee, National Road Safety Awards, P. O. Box 01683 Osu-Accra or info@nrsc.gov.gh latest by September 7,2012.
The National Road Safety Awards is the biggest platform yet that celebrates the contributions and impact of journalists to road safety improvement in Ghana and this year's sponsored by the Road Fund, Promasidor Ghana Limited, Shell Ghana Limited, Toyota Ghana Limited, Standbay Limited, BNO International and the National Drivers Academy.
