The Akyem Swedru Circuit Court has sentenced a 22- year-old farmer, Kwasi Yeboah, to seven years imprisonment in hard labour for unlawful entry.
Police Chief Inspector Alice Appiakorang told the court presided over by Edward Kwame Bosompem Apenkwah that both the complainant who is a student and the convict live at Akyem Manso in the Birim South District.
She said on January 12 at about 0200 hours, the complainant who was fast asleep suddenly woke up only to see Yeboah naked in her room.
The complainant quickly raised an alarm, which attracted a relation who was also sleeping in the same room, but Yeboah managed to jump through the window and took to his heels.
The prosecutor said Yeboah was given a hot chase and was later arrested while dressing up and escorted to the local police station.
