A 33-year-old farmer has been remanded in custody for allegedly possessing fire-arms without lawful authority and robbery.
The accused, Abdulai Alale, pleaded not guilty to the charges and would re-appear on April 29.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah, told the court, presided over by Mr. Justice Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brews that the complainant, Kwadwo Obeng, is a small-scale miner.

According to the prosecutor, Alale escaped after the crime and a report was lodged at the Wassa Akropong Police Station and the accused was later arrested.
Inspector Amponsah said when a search was conducted in his house, one mobile phone belonging to a Chinese national, two live cartridges and one single barrel gun were retrieved.
