Son of former late Vice President Farouk Aliu Mahama has been nominated for the Northern Youth For Peace and Development Awards.
This is in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian support to the good people of Yendi, and the Northern Region at large.
The event, will be on 28th November, 2020 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital.
The event will see other awardees receive honors for their dedicated impact on society in various capacities.
However, It is also to highlight and recognise Farouk Mahama’s achievements and successful rise to the top flight of life.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Yendi over the years brought to the fore various development-oriented, prosperity and progressive politics driven in Yendi, the traditional seat of Dagbon.

Through his Non-government Organisation known as the Partner for Poverty Reduction (PPR), Alhaji Farouk continue to play a critical role in ameliorating the plight of the people through providing agricultural inputs for farmers, support for the education of the needy, empowering women and youth employment.
The PPR has carried out a host of philanthropic gestures in critical areas in the Northern part of the country.
He also remains the first young Northern politician to address the Oxford African Conference.
The Northern Peace and Development Awards is a component of the National Achievers Awards Scheme to honour individuals and organizations that demonstrate the core value of development driven character, excellence in the promotion of peace and commercial success in their respective sectors annually.
Farouk Aliu Mahama, 39, has in the past received similar awards for his humanitarian activities including humanitarian award from the Voiceless Media, Northern Excellence Awards and other institutions.
