The Chief Executive of Adinkra Metrix Multimedia, Fiifi Adinkra, has called for increased recognition of publicists within the Ghanaian media industry.
According to him, publicists play the critical role in shaping public perception and driving the success of various brands and personalities.
“Publicists should be recognised for their work,” he said.
He highlighted that publicists often operate behind the scenes, managing media relations, crafting strategic communication plans, and ensuring that their clients' images are positively portrayed in the public eye.
Despite their significant contributions, publicists rarely receive the acknowledgment they deserve.
Fiifi Adinkra, who has built a reputation as one of Ghana’s most reliable publicists over his decade-long career, underscored the impact of effective public relations on the success of numerous artists and brands.
His portfolio includes prominent figures such as Stonebwoy, Bisa Kdei, Gasmilla, Okyeame Kwame, Legendary Rechordz, Kofi Kinaata, Kwesi Arthur, Sarkodie, Ayesem, and Wendy Shay.
“Publicists are essential to the media and entertainment industries. Their work involves a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and relationship management. Recognising their efforts can inspire more professionalism and dedication within the industry.”
By advocating for the recognition of publicists, Mr Adinkra hopes to bring attention to the invaluable contributions of these professionals and encourage a culture of appreciation within the Ghanaian media landscape.
