The Ghana Football Association Executive Committee elections are upon us and the protagonists are speaking up.
Campaign for representatives from Premier, Division One Regional Football Associations and constituent bodies is underway. Frank Nelson, a Hearts board member, will be seeking for his first term on the GFA Executive committee.
He's angling for one of the six slots for Premier League clubs. “It is really going to be very tough because even Premier division l can count as many as eleven candidates to the six slots we have,” he said.
Speaking to Adom FM, he notes that the race will be keen. “It is a big situation, a situation nobody can avoid. It is something you will appreciate been among the numbers but you are not going there to add up to the numbers but add up positively and l believe that what l know in life will be able to help me to contribute positively into that department.”
“People will not vote for you just to relax without pursuing their agenda. I am here. Anybody who needs my service, l will be able to offer my service to make sure that the Ghana football is well."
"l can only contribute in terms of enhancement and that is what l am going to do there when am voted for.”
The election of Premier Division and Division One representatives to the GFA Executive Committee will take place on September 29.
