G & J Technical Services Limited, a leading distributor of diesel generating sets and provider of back-up power solutions, has appointment of Michael Djan-Sampson as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective June 1, 2015.
Mr. Djan-Sampson replaces Mr. Godfrey Asiedu, the current Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, who will relinquish his CEO role, but continue as Executive Chairman of the company.
The new CEO joins G&J from Metso Mining & Construction Technology, a supplier of mineral processing equipment, where he served in Customer Services, Business Development and General Management roles since 2008.
Prior to joining Metso, Mike served as Aftermaket Manager at Pasico Ghana Limited, a multi-franchise dealership selling and supporting cranes, earthmoving and port handling equipment and diesel generating sets from 2006 to 2008.
Mr Djan-Sampson also previously held a number of positions with the Anglogold Ashanti Group during a 13-year career, where he focused primarily on developing maintenance systems and managing large and diverse engineering and maintenance teams.
He holds a Masters degree in Mine- Mechanical Engineering from Queens University, Ontario, Canada and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Current Executive Chairman and CEO of G&J Godfrey Asiedu said "I am delighted with Mike's appointment as CEO.

He has an intimate understanding of G&J's functional areas and key markets, having served as a non-Executive Director of G&J since 2013. I believe his significant business and engineering expertise will be invaluable as the company positions itself for the next level of transformation", he added.
