Ghana leads the pack with four nominations for this year’s Caf Player of the Year award in a revised shortlist released by the continent’s governing body on Saturday.
The event which takes place on 20th December in Cairo will have coaches or Technical Directors of all 53 member associations voting for the prestigious prize of player of the award as well as the African based player award.
Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah and Milovan Rajevac have earned nominations for Player of the Year, Most Promising Talent and Coach of the Year awards respectively while the Black Stars have been nominated for the National Team of the Year award.
The duo of Andre Dede Ayew and Kevin Prince Boateng however failed to make the cut in the revised shortlist.

b) Samuel Eto’o Fils (Cameroon/ Inter Milan)
c) Asamoah Gyan (Ghana/ Sunderland)

e) Seydou Keita (Mali/ Barcelona)
The above shortlist will further be reduced to 3 players on December 11th. The other categories are a follows:
