Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has been cleared to play in Sunday’s crucial 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.
Muntari hurt his calf last Sunday against Liverpool and will undertake recovery and treatment with the Black Stars’ medical team at their training camp in Nairobi.
The Inter Milan loanee limped off after 19 minutes in which Sunderland lost 0-2 at the Stadium of Light.
The 26-year-old will miss Tuesday's first training session ahead of the qualifier to be played in Brazzaville.
Muntari should be fully fit before Ghana play England at the new Wembley on 29 March.
