Claude Le Roy has included three uncapped youngsters in his 20-man Ghana squad for the upcoming friendly fixture later this month.
Ghana would play fellow West African nation, Senegal on August 21 in London at the New Den, the home ground of English League side Millwall.
Le Roy has three new faces in the Black Stars squad while he welcomes five old members with four returning from injury.
Andre Ayew, son of former Black Stars captain, Abedi Ayew, has been handed a debut call up into the senior national team. Also receiving maiden invites are Inter Milan’s Mario Barwuah and Yahaya Mohammed of French Ligue 1 side, Nice.
Team captain, Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, Junior Agogo and Joe Tex Frimpong - who all starred in Ghana’s last friendly played in London where the Black Stars won 4-1 over Nigeria in February, return to the squad after recovering from injuries.
Viking striker, Razak Pimpong gets his first call since Ghana's friendly against Australia played last year.
The game against the Senegalese would be the first for Ghana since March 2007, when the Black Stars played in a two-game friendly series in Graz with Euro 2008 co-host, Austria, and three days later against former world champions, Brazil in Solna, Sweden.
The Black Stars were given respite after their double friendly fixtures in March this year.
Ghana’s encounter with the Senegalese would be the second time both West African nations are meeting in London after drawing goalless in a similar exercise last year prior to the Black Stars’debut at the World Cup.
According to the Ghana Football Association, the game against the Teranga Lions forms part of the Black Stars preparation towards the African Cup of Nations in 2008.
Ghana, by virtue of being host of the 2008 African Cup of Nations finals would not be playing any competitive match until January 2008, when the tournament kicks off in Accra.
