British Police found the decomposed body of a Ghanaian female social worker in London, Madam Victoria Amartey in her room at Peckham in London Thursday morning.
Reports reaching Adom News from London say the deceased who is believed to be in her late 50s must have been dead a week before police found her body.
Residents of the area sensed the bad odour coming from her room and called the Peckham Police, who broke into her room and found her decomposed body in front of her kitchen door.
The cause of death is not yet known.
Madam Victoria was a Chorister at the London-based Trinity Baptist Church, where Ghanaian Pastor Kingsley Appiagyei is the founder and head pastor.
She often provided free accommodation to some members of the Alabaster Box on their ministry visits to London.
Adom News reached Madam Victoria’s youngest brother, Frederick Amartey, a businessman in Ghana exclaimed “this is news to me, the family has not heard about it.”
After a few hours Frederick came back to Adom News and confirmed his sister’s demise but said he was yet to inform the rest of the family.
