Mrs. Eva Andoh-Poku has been appointed the new Deputy Administrator of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC).
She replaces Mr. Austin Baffo, the former Acting Deputy Administrator of the Fund.
A statement issued in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency said Mr. Prince Sefah, the Administrator of GIFEC expressed pleasure to have Mrs. Andoh-Poku join the team.
He said: “We expect to work together to undertake the best strategy and tactics, through effective and efficient leadership to achieve our objectives, optimally.”
Mr Sefah said while leadership sought to get the best structures working, it was important to ensure discipline, togetherness, and hard work.
He celebrated achievements by his predecessors, adding, “life is a continuum; we make progress, make mistakes and move on."
According to the Fund Administrator, the most important thing in life was to bequeath as much positive legacies as possible, since, “we only live for a relatively short time, advising staff to make their time count and do great things together.”

He stressed on values of competence, passion, and hard work and entreated staff to work together to support management in achieving maximum results.
Mr Sefah assured staff of management’s commitment in ensuring that the necessary arrangements were put in place to motivate them adequately.
Mrs Andoh-Poku expressed excitement about joining the team and promised to contribute her quota to complement the team’s efforts in achieving the Fund’s overall mandate of facilitating access to ICT to all persons for socio-economic development.
” l believe in the importance of teamwork in achieving and producing more and going far and l am very honoured to be the Deputy Administrator and to be working with such a great man who has so much to offer,” she said.
The Deputy Administrator said she was at GIFEC "to complement, and not to compete, and bring to bear skills acquired over the years.”
