The best player of this year’s Glo Premier League will be laughing all the way to a two bedroom apartment situated off the Buduburam Camp.
The facility will be provided by Blue Rose Limited who have joined hands with the Professional League Board and the Ghana Football Association to further motivate players in the local Premiership to step up and be recognized for their talent.
The company made this stunning revelation at a short but impressive ceremony at the premises of the Ghana Football Association on Friday, January 4.
Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Eric Ebo Acquah revealed that he was touched by the plight of majority of the nation’s top heroes who have struggled with acquiring a decent accommodation when their careers have ended.
For him, it was the company’s way of supporting the local game and enhancing competition amongst the players with the nation being the ultimate beneficiary.
President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantekyi used the opportunity to thank the CEO and his team for this immense contribution and also used the opportunity to encourage the players of the various competing clubs to give off their best anytime they made their way onto the various pitches across the length and breadth of the country.
“These opportunities do not come on a daily basis and for best player of the season to be presented with a house is amazing to say the least. Who would have seen this coming,” he asked?
“I hope this gesture coupled with other financial inducements will get the best players staying in the local league to create the excitement of yesteryears rather than having our boys leave to play in Thailand, Vietnam and co for such pittance.”
He implored the media to propagate this milestone to further attract a lot more corporate sponsorship for the league.
The deal is a three year agreement and is subject to renewal if both parties are satisfied with the execution of the deal.
The company which started operations some seven years ago has plans that can cater for the average pocket with one, two and three bedroom houses available for clients with some of the cheapest prices on the Ghanaian market. Their products can be purchased outright or through mortgage from financial institutions.
