Ghana’s El-Classico between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko comes off this Sunday at the Ohene Djan Stadium in match day nine of the Glo Premier League.
The two rivals have struggled to impress in this year’s league and will attempt to improve their fortunes for a title challenge on Sunday.
Two of Asante Kotoko’s new signings, Frank Boateng and Gideon Baah, are relishing a sweet victory over the Phobians.
“We’ve believe we’ve finished preparing toward this match and we’re going to prove that we are on top,” Baah told Joy Sports.
Accra Great Olympics will be inspired by their win over Lions when they travel to Baba Yara to face King Faisal but Coach Foster Alhassan of King Faisal is taking no chances.
“I’m going to pick up the three points; I need it badly,” Coach Alhassan said, adding “we are going to treat all the matches equally; we’re not going to underrate any team.”
Eleven Wise face an uphill task when they travel to Kpando to face Heart of Lions. Coach Herbert Addo’s Aduana Stars will try to stop the run of league leaders Kessben FC when they welcome them to Dormaa on Sunday.
RTU and Ashgold will meet in a seeming match of equals though Ashgold occupies third spot on the league table. New Edubiase and Chelsea of Bechem will battle for all three points at the Len Clay Stadium. Struggling Sekondi Hasaacas must pick up the pieces when they play Wa All Stars in Sekondi.
Meanwhile, Liberty’s game with Arsenals has been postponed to allow Liberty partake in the WAFU tournament.
