Wa All Stars Amos Adepa has cautioned Asante Kotoko to be wary of the threat his side possess ahead of the matchday 16 Ghana Premier League fixture.
The game leads the pack in the midweek set of fixtures with the league leaders hoping to complete a double other the Reds.
For Adepa, a victory will fortify their bid for a first league title.
“It is not only Wa All Stars fighting for the league title and I guess the rest of the teams will like to be in our position because we are always motivated with our performance and our position on the league table,” he told Asempa Sports.
“We were knocked out of the MTN FA Cup by a second division club [Wa Rockets] but that doesn’t mean we are down because playing a local derby and knockout matches are played with different mentality and that cannot be used to justify our performance in the league.”
“Playing Kotoko at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, the best results for Kotoko will be a draw because we are very much prepared going into the match and if our formation works to perfection, then we will take the maximum points back to Wa.
Other fixtures in the league will see Liberty Professionals host Hearts of Oak in Accra.
