Chinese used car e-commerce platform Guazi has announced an expansion of its overseas vehicle sourcing services, targeting buyers and dealers in markets including Ghana, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
The company says its model combines digital vehicle listings, inspection reports and local market support to help overseas customers access used cars from China with greater transparency and confidence.

Founded in 2015, Guazi has built a platform that facilitates used car transactions, vehicle inspections, condition reporting, pricing support and buyer matching. The company says it has completed more than three million used car transactions, inspected over 30 million vehicles and operates across more than 200 cities in China.
A key feature of the platform is its inspection-backed approach, where vehicles undergo multi-point checks before being listed for sale. The inspection results are captured in structured condition reports, allowing buyers to review details through photos, videos and digital records before making purchasing decisions.
Guazi said its overseas expansion is focused on helping importers, dealers, rental companies, showroom operators and fleet buyers source vehicles from China while reducing uncertainty associated with cross-border purchases.
The company uses data-driven tools and artificial intelligence systems to support vehicle comparisons, buyer matching and review of vehicle records. It has also developed expertise in assessing used electric and hybrid vehicles, including battery health evaluations.

In Ghana, Guazi said it is investing in a directly operated local team to support customers with vehicle information reviews, consultations and cross-border sourcing processes.
The platform offers overseas buyers two main purchasing options — an auction model, where buyers bid on available vehicles, and a fixed FOB price option, which provides a predetermined price for vehicles up to loading at the departure port in China.
According to the company, after purchase, buyers remain responsible for destination-specific costs including shipping, customs clearance, taxes, duties and local delivery charges, depending on their country's requirements.
Guazi said its overseas support teams and partners assist customers with documentation, logistics coordination and understanding local import procedures.
The company noted that vehicle imports must comply with each market’s regulations, including requirements relating to vehicle age limits, emissions standards and documentation.
Li Yang, a spokesperson for Guazi, said the company’s next phase would focus on strengthening local partnerships and expanding its service model to more markets.

“The next phase is to deepen local partnerships and expand the model to additional markets, enabling buyers and dealers to evaluate used cars online and receive support closer to their local market,” he said.
Guazi said its overseas strategy is aimed at combining China’s used vehicle supply with digital tools and local support systems to make international vehicle sourcing easier for customers.
