On the occasion of Fathers’ Day today, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur wishes to proudly congratulate all categories of Fathers in this Country. We applaud you all for your leadership, courage, efforts, guidance, discipline, foresight, and determination which have inspired many lives. On this day, we salute the many fathers who have been supportive of their families by among other things, assisting with children’s home work, attending P.T.A. meetings, visiting the antenatal clinics and going to the markets. These efforts are commendable as they reinforce the concepts of mutual respect and collaboration in our relationships as opposed to the unequal power relations that have characterised many families. This renewed Ghanaian fatherhood inspires hope.We salute you, Role models and epitome of hard work support and excellence. May your courage, leadership, wisdom and determination continue to inspire us to greater achievements, and may others take after your good example to impact our generation, leaving a lasting legacy for those to come. Finally, my heart goes out to Fathers facing any challenge as they endeavour to play their roles. May you be strengthened to stand firm knowing that your efforts will produce significant impact in the lives of the many transformational leaders you are raising. We celebrate all Fathers, may you enjoy the fruits of all your efforts.HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY!!!Hon. Nana Oye Lithur (Mrs.)
Minister
