The football transfer season in Ghana has seen some drama unfold in previous years and this year may not be any different.
Charles Taylor and Kofi Abanga remain the two protagonists of the biggest transfer drama involving Hearts and Kotoko but we could well have new additions to the list.
The two traditional giants are set to go neck to neck over the signing of two national stars; Kennedy Ashia of Liberty and Stephen Adams of Aduana Stars.
After a below par season by their standards, Hearts and Kotoko are in search of the best talents as both aim to make amends.
Hearts have made their stance on the transfer market clear since the end of the season with reports claiming the Phobians are in search of five signings. Kotoko on the other hand have also set up a recruitment team who has reportedly drawn a 10-man shortlist of targeted players with Asokwa Deportivo’s Joe Fameyeh on its radar.
Ashia has been a long term target for both clubs and with reports claiming he will welcome a move away from the Dansoman club, the pursuit has intensified.

The attacking midfielder is a reliable source of goals in the league and will decrease the burden of scoring goals as both Hearts and Kotoko as they were found wanting in the goal scoring department last season.
Adams on the other hand has been a safe pair of hands for the Dormaa side since their promotion to the top flight. His great form earned him a call up to the Black Stars.
With both clubs also leaking goals last season, they both see the experienced goalie as a great leader of their defensive line to spearhead a title challenge next season.
Both clubs have got one over the other with Hearts winning the Abanga duel and Kotoko winning with Charles Taylor. Which club will emerge victorious this time?
