Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Kotobisa has denied involvement in securing the release of three Ghanaian policemen who were arrested in Togo.
The armed security officers reportedly entered that country through Hordzokorfe, a border town in the Ho municipality.
The three officers were, however, released Saturday.
Volta regional correspondent, Agbeko Ben Coffie reports that the Volta regional Police are declining to give further details about the incident.
He said although the Volta regional Police Commander DCOP Alex Badu did confirm the arrest, it is still not clear why the Police officers, whose identities are unknown, were arrested.
But the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Kotobisa told Joy News he has no knowledge about the incident.
He challenged those speculating he was involved to provide evidence: “I have not intervened in anything; I only went [there] on monitoring…”
“I have not been arrested; I haven’t intervened in any case. The one who has the information should clarify it for you…” Isaac Kotobisa stressed.
