Experienced Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson is relishing the prospect of playing for local giants Kotoko due to their ‘fantastic’ supporters than to his former club Accra Great Olympics.
The 34-year-old has been inactive since leaving Blackpool in 2011.
He has been frozen out of the Ghanaian national team for close to two years due to his club inactiveness.
The former Wigan Athletic shot-stopper has been overwhelmed by the way the faboulous faithfuls support their club and would welcome an opportunity to play for them.
“If Accra Great Olympics is not in the Premiership, the only team I would love to play for is Asante Kotoko, even for one match,” Kingson said
“I’m in love with the way the fans support their team; they appreciate and motivate the players in all situations. They are respectful.”
Kingson is the latest high-profile player to have declared his intention of playing for the Porcupine Warriors after Asamoah Gyan stated his unflinching love for the biggest club in Ghana.
Kingson is the country’s longest serving goalkeeper after playing for the Black Stars for over a decade.
