An independent presidential aspirant for Election 2012, Jacob Osei Yeboah, on Thursday appealed to the leadership of Andanis and Abudus to bear in mind that the real enemy of their existence and progress was political rhetoric.
“They (Abudus and Andanis) need to strive to work together for peace and prosperity,” Mr Yeboah said, adding that “Your lives and properties will be wasted away by depraved politicians’ fake promises but they will always gain their votes at the expense of your blood.”
The 42-year-old Electrical Engineer made the appeal when addressing a press conference in Accra to declare his intention to contest the 2012 presidential election.
He pledged to pursue and fulfill the unaccomplished national agenda that had been skillfully pushed aside and derailed of its energy and purpose by unseen hands and forces.
“I will rigorously pursue the unaccomplished national agenda for Ghana which is the fight for economic and social reconstruction of Ghana in national and cultural politics, in the duty of Ghana’s culture making a supreme contribution to the achievement of happiness and survival of Ghanaians,” he added.
Mr Yeboah said his leadership would be dedicated to creative transformation of the chieftaincy institution in the context of republican governance and employment opportunities to the working class of the society.
“The new freedom that our chiefs can bring in Election 2012 is for Ghanaians to reject the practice of political parties electing the President of Ghana, “he added.
Mr Yeboah pledged to empower the Ghanaian business entrepreneur to succeed through an inclusive government with the marshalling of the collective wisdom and energies for national development from the traditional rulers, religious leaders and accomplished entrepreneurs.
He is the second Independent Presidential Aspirant after Mr Kwasi Amoafo-Yeboah, who contested Election 2008.
