Inlaks, one of the fastest-growing ICT infrastructure and systems integrator in Sub-Saharan Africa has once again established its stance in the Ghanaian ICT space after winning two awards at this year’s MOBEX Africa Tech Expo and Innovation Awards aimed at honouring innovations and invention.
This year’s MOBEX Africa Tech Expo and Innovation Awards focused on the banking sector, themed, “E-Finance: Future of Payments and Banking was geared at engendering confidence in the sector and also embracing the technology.
Inlaks received two awards as the best in Innovation in Enterprise Solution and Innovation in Fintech - Banking Collaboration following its successful collaboration with the Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) to provide its cutting edge internet banking solutions.
In a speech read on his behalf, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President, of Ghana said that a plethora of reforms have been undertaken in the digitisation and formalisation process of the Ghanaian economy, he outlined the introduction of National ID Cards (with fingerprints, Iris and photo), the digital address system, mobile money payments interoperability, the innovative online national health insurance registration, online tax-filing system, e-registration of businesses, automation of the application for business operating permit, automation of the construction permit system, implementation of an electronic justice system to track court documents, the paperless port system and the newly introduced Zipline medical drone system as the key reforms being implemented in the economy.
Dr Bawumia thanked the various institutions in Ghana, adding that the government would continue to play its role of making the environment conducive for the private sector to develop solutions to solve local problems.
Receiving two awards at this year’s MOBEX Africa Tech Expo and Innovation 2019 on behalf of Inlaks, the General Manager, Ghana Operations, Olufunmilayo Okubena, said Inlaks would constantly innovate to stay relevant in the face of the fast-growing technology and provide its customers with the best ICT solutions to make them stay ahead of competition in the technology space.
