A Junior High School girl who was captured on a video having sex with a faceless man got married to the man over the week-end.Residents of La Apapa were shocked at the news of the wedding and have not seized talking.Joy News has learnt that residents thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of the couple who were involved in the infamous Apapa Kamasutra video. The latest bridegroom in La Apapa told Joy News he already had intentions to marry the girl and expressed regrets over the video footage in which he was captured making love to the girl. His face was however not captured, only that of the girl was.According to him, he nearly committed suicide when the video was leaked to the public. He said he had to encourage the girl who felt largely embarrassed after the incident to continue with her schooling. With the girl pregnant he hoped she will continue with the schooling after she had given birth. But a lawyer and human rights advocate insists the marriage is null and void.Angela Dwamena Aboagye told Joy News the man involved may face prosecution if it is proven he had sex with the girl at a time she was 16 or below.“If the marriage took place the family must be told the marriage has no place in law,” she said. She called for strong institutions to deal with some of these societal challenges.Source: Joy News/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
