For the umpteenth time at a major tournament, the Ghanaian tongues have not spared striker Jordan Ayew for what many term profligacy and great indecision.
His skill and technique are undoubted but his end product has always almost been found wanting.
Despite these criticisms, he has generally been defended by his bosses with current boss Avram in full support of him after the Uganda tie.
Ayew seems to have silenced his critics after providing the assist- a perfect cross- which was headed in by Asamoah Gyan in the 1-0 win over Mali to book an early quarter-final berth.

And after an inspired first half performance against Mali, Jordan has been talking up his abilities.
''I am always confident because I know the quality I have. The coach and the players have confidence in me so there is no problem.”
''Two of our stars (Andre and Asamoah) were not hundred percent so I have to run more and I do that with a good heart and good spirit.''
He is expected to lead the line again for Ghana against Egypt.
