The Joy FM May Day Blood Donation exercise, which took place at the Aviation Social Centre, has ended with an impressive turnout.
The eligible donors were taken through thorough screening and advisory sessions.
According to organizers, patronage was small as compared to previous years.
Health experts say prospective donors must have blood equivalent of at least seven beer bottles, weigh more than 50kg and must be between the ages of 17-60 before they can partake in such an activity.
This year’s exercise coincided with the Joy FM’s 15th Anniversary celebration of hard work and excellence in radio broadcasting.
As the practice has always been, Cosmopolitan Mix hostess Doreen Andoh was on board to entertain donors, sponsors and listeners alike with good music.
Sponsors who supported this year’s event include Promasidor Ghana Ltd, Unibank and Coca Cola.
