Joy 99.7FM will, on Monday, March 7, 2022, hold the second edition of the ‘Joy Christian Forum’ to discuss the impact churches have had in the country's development since she gained her independence 65 years ago.
The discussion will ignite a conversation with some religious leaders to find answers to the impact and relevance of the church in Ghana.
A host of dignitaries including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Alliance for Christian Advocacy-Africa, Rev. Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong; the General Overseer of the Solid Rock Chapel International, Rev. Dr Christie Doh Tetteh and a former Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Church International, Bishop Samuel Noi Mensah will join the discussion.
Dubbed ‘Ghana at 65: Is the Church Still Relevant’, the conversation will be hosted and moderated by Joy FM’s Pastor Ato Acquah at 7 pm.
The programme will be telecast live on Joy 99.7FM and all the social media handles of the station.
This is in line with the celebration of Ghana’s 65th Independence Anniversary, which is set to be held at the Central Regional capital town of Cape Coast.

This year’s celebration is themed ‘Cape Coast 2022: Working Together, Bouncing Back Better’ and is based on the devastation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic the world over, which has left many nations struggling to recover.
The Special Guest for this year’s celebration would be the Prime Minister of the Republic of Barbados.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has noted that Ghana’s story of 65 years of independence speaks about hope for a prosperous future.
He has urged citizens to work together as a team with a common purpose for the country's development.
“We have a story. Ours is a story of hope! Working together, Bouncing back together,” he said in Twitter post on February 19.
