Richard Kingson is a major doubt for Ghana’s 2010 World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Accra with an ankle injury.
The Wigan goalkeeper who is Ghana’s number one choice was absent from the Black Stars international friendly against Zambia in London last Wednesday after picking up an ankle injury in pre-season with his Premiership club side last week.
KickOffGhana.com now understands the technical team of the Black Stars are almost resigned to that fact the ankle injury which will keep him out for one month from early estimation will rule him out of the game against Sudan at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
If his absence is confirmed it will be the first game in the ongoing 2010 World Cup qualifiers he would miss after playing every minute for Ghana so far.
His absence will also open the door for a straight fight between George Owu and William Amamoo for the right to who keeps post.
