Kwadwo Asamoah returned to full scale training on Thursday and is expected to be part of the Juventus team that play Genoa on Sunday.
The 26-year-old suffered a knee injury in November and had to undergo surgery in December.
Earlier expected to fully recover after four months, Asamoah’s return was delayed due to further complications. Although he briefly featured in a Serie A game against Napoli last May.
The ankle injury which was picked up in Juventus’s UEFA Champions League Group game against Olympiakos last November was initially expected to heal in three months but has taken almost a year following complications.
However, he may now be available for selection when Juventus travel to Genoa on Sunday.
