President John Dramani Mahama has called for a religious adherence to due processes in seeking redress in electoral disputes.Speaking at the 12th congregation of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration where his wife, the first lady Lordina Mahama and wife of NPP vice presidential candidate Samira Bawumia graduated, the president said it was important to put aside their differences engendered by the elections and forge ahead in unity.Addressing the congregation, president Mahama said electoral disputes were bound to arise but added that what sets a nation apart is when it is able to surmount the challenges in the interest of its people.Rector of the institute, Prof. Franklin Acheampong Manu, said although GIMPA is doing well with its internally generated funds, an increase in government support was necessary to enable the institute meet its obligations fully.He revealed that the school was working on a clinical project for interested students to work in the United States as part of their project work.About 633 people graduated in both undergraduate and graduate programmes. First lady Lordina Mahama graduated with an MBA in Governance and Leadership.Wife of NPP vice presidential candidate Samira Bawumia also graduated with an MBA in Project Management and picked a number of awards for her sterling performance.Some government officials including former Information Minister, John Tia Akologo, Deputy Women and Children's Affairs Minister Hajia Gariba Hawawo Boya and Member of parliament-elect for Odododiodio Constituency Nii Lante Vanderpuye all graduated with Masters in Governance and Leadership.
