Deputy Education Minister Mahama Ayariga could be discharged from the Tamale Teaching Hospital anytime soon after undergoing surgery following an accident yesterday.
He is said to be in a stable condition at the Hospital where he was admitted for some injuries.
His vehicle ran into a stationery car at Walewale in the Northern region.
Mr Ayariga was part of the convoy of President Mills who is on tour of the three Northern regions.
Northern Regional Correspondent Mahama Shaibu reports doctors as saying the deputy minister was diagnosed of blood in the abdomen and had to go through emergency surgery performed by five specialist doctors.
