The NPP constituency Chairman who was arrested for posting an alleged concocted picture of President John Mahama having sex has been released.
Mr Omari Wadie was released late afternoon, Tuesday after nearly 40 hours in the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations.
He told the media shortly after his release that the arrest was discomforting.
He said to be arrested at 5:00 am at the tarmac of an airport after such a long journey and driven straight to the BNI office and detained for about 40 hours is something rather worrying.
On the issue for which he was arrested, Wadie admitted posting a sex material on facebook but said he did not know the source of it.
According to him, the officers at BNI claimed the source of the picture was from Nigeria but he could not immediately confirm.
He wondered how the BNI will claim to know the source of the picture and yet proceed to ask him where the source of the picture is coming from.
It is not clear if any charges have been preferred against him.
