The maiden edition of the Christianpreneurs Ghana Summit 2022 was successfully launched at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, June 24.
The summit was organized to bring together Christians in all industries to discuss the challenges, ethics and opportunities in doing business as Christians.
The core objective of this summit was to empower Christians in the business world to steer affairs.
Speakers for the event included high profile personalities like Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, who was the former CEO of Ghana Chamber of Mines, Dr. Ing. Kenneth Ashigbey, the CEO of Ghana Telecommunications, Majid Michel, a renowned award winning Ghanaian Actor, Nadia Takyiwaa Mensah, the CEO of sixth sense Manifesto and Kingsley Hayford, a Chartered Accountant and Charted banker and advisor.
According to the convener, Mr. David Wincott, the need for this summit was inspired by a divine inclination to seek answers to questions related to Christianity in the business world.

He cited areas such as the exceptions to business ventures for Christians, and the principles that must guide a Christian in the business world.
He stated that the strong will to obtain answers to these questions and to address the challenges of combining ministry with corporate work birthed the acronym CHRISTIANPRENUERS which represent Christian in business or entrepreneurs.

He further made reference to the Housing and Population census conducted in 2021, indicating that about 71% of the Ghanaian population are affiliated to the Christian religion, which implied that being empowered as Christians to take charge in the business world will to a larger extent right the wrongs in the society and economy today.

Mr Wincott concluded that Christianpreneurs will not only be a day summit, but will also involve a strong network that will be available to provide database, suggestions and support to Christians in the business world when the need arises.
He further urged all participants and the general public to look forward to the next edition of Christianpreneurs Ghana Summit 2023 and other interventions in the near future.
