The 2022/23 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League is set to kick start on Friday, October 7, with lots of excitement at stake for all 20 teams.
The Northern Zone gets this season's campaign underway at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium where Pearlpia Ladies face Prisons Ladies at 3:00pm.
On Saturday, October 8, the Northern Zone fixtures continue with debutants Tamale Super Ladies coming against Ashtown Ladies while Supreme Ladies also go head-to-head with Candy Soccer Academy.
Defending champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face competition from Northern Ladies in their opener at the Ohene Ameyaw Park on Saturday while the game between Fabulous Ladies and Dreamz Ladies is scheduled for Sunday.
In the Southern Zone, Faith Ladies, who were winners of the 2022 Women's Super Cup, will get their campaign underway against Soccer Intellectuals when they travel to the Swedru Stadium on Saturday.
The Legon Presec Park will host the fixture involving Thunder Queens and Police Ladies.
In what is expected to be a cracking encounter at the Gyandu Park, Hasaacas Ladies will welcome Berry Ladies to Sekondi while LadyStrikers take on Army Ladies at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast.
In the battle of the debutants, Ridge City will host Essiam Socrates at the Madina Astro Turf on Sunday as they take to the league for the first time.
Both Ridge and Essiam Socrates were involved in the Middle League where they finished second and first respectively to book promotion.
Meanwhile, Joy Sports Razak Musbau has interviewed CEO of Berry Ladies, one of the top clubs in the league, ahead of the season kickoff.
