A 73-year-old man was on Saturday found dead in his apartment at Osu Nyaniba Estates, Accra.
Robert Agyemang, who lives alone in the apartment was said to have gone missing for some days.
However, some co-tenants suspected he could be in his room and called the police who broke the door only to find the lifeless body of the man leaning against his bed.
According to Osu Police Crime Officer ASP Apeatu Adabo, the body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
ASP Adabo disclosed that when the deceased was found in his room, he was clinging on to some medication in a sachet which has also been given to the pathologists to aid in investigations.
According to the police, the body was not in a decomposition state when it was discovered suggesting he might have died the previous night. ASP Adapo stated that until investigations are concluded, they don’t suspect any foul play in the incident.
