A twenty-nine-year old unemployed man has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for stealing four bunches of plantain at Suhum in the Eastern Region.
Kwabena Addo was caught with a sack full of plantain on his back suspected to have been stolen from the farm of Chief Inspector Ben Nyantor, the complainant.
The stolen plantain is said to be worth GHc 80.
Kwabena is said to have taken to his heels when he was spotted with his booty early last month but was later arrested and jailed after he was found guilty.
