The police in Adidome in the Volta Region are investigating a case in which a man hacked off his wife’s arm, killed his baby and injured another.
Innocent Doga, believed to be in his 50s, allegedly attacked his wife late last night with a cutlass following a misunderstanding.
In the scuffle, his one-and-a-half-year-old baby on the mother’s back sustained injuries and died a few minutes upon arrival at the hospital.
Doga’s step daughter was also injured in the attack and is together with the mother receiving treatment at the Adidome Hospital.
The Adidome District Police Commander, Wisdom Boglo confirmed the incident to Joy News.
He said the accused was arrested Tuesday morning from his hideout and is in police custody assisting in investigations.
