The Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Stephen Amoah has achieved a new laurel for himself.
He has been named the Best CEO in the Micro-Loan Industry for 2018 for how well he has managed the micro-finance industry in Ghana.
The European CEO Awards is a UK-based scheme that provides recognition to exceptional leaders within the industry, identifying innovative and creative leaders who have demonstrated strong integrity and contributed both the industry and wider society.
Mr. Amoah who received the award in Accra said it is a humbling experience but also challenging.
“My vision is to achieve competitive excellence by using cutting-edge technologies to provide affordable micro-loans to SMEs and start-ups in the remotest part of Ghana" he added.
This, he said will ensure the financial inclusion of this target group which has previously been excluded from the traditional banking environment.
Until his appointment as MASLOC boss, Stephen Amoah was a part-time lecture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He was aslo the Acting Ashanti Regional Organizer of the NPP and the director of operations of the party in the 2016 Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
Mr. Stepen Amoah has also served as a member of the Public Affairs Committee, National Campaign team for election 2008 and play a key role as former Ashanti Regional TESCON President.
He was also the CEO of Zintex Company Limited and serve as the resource person for training of NPP youth for community outreach activities in 2014.
