Ghana and Chelsea have agreed for the midfield star who will captain the team in Angola to complete his rehabilitation at Stanford Bridge before joining his colleagues in Angola on Saturday. He will travel to Angola with a Chelsea team doctor according to the Times newspaper and is almost certain to miss the game against Togo even though Milovan Rajevac insist he will be the man to make that call after he has observed him at close range himself. With so many big name players missing, Essien will be crucial for Ghana not only as the main man in midfield but as captain of the side too.
