Defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko are still searching for their first win in the Glo premier league after Kpando Heart of Lions pulled an injury time equalizer to deny the Porcupine Warriors the three maximum points on Match Day 3.
Kotoko took the lead through Kofi Nti Boakye in the 82nd minute after the referee awarded a penalty against the visiting team for a push in the 18-yard box.
With barely ten minutes to the close of the game, the home fans thought they had the three points in the bag. But a controversial a penalty awarded Lions deep into injury time saw the cancellation of Nti Boakye's goal.
At the blast of the whistle, Kotoko players rushed to the referee to register their protest. It took a security escort to ward the Kotoko players away from the match officials.
The home fans also registered their displeasure by throwing missiles at the center man and his match officials.
