The Volta Region Media Eleven football team will clash against Explicit International, a Ho based advertising company in a friendly football match next Thursday, September 27 as part of activities marking this year's Asogli Yam Festival celebrations.
The encounter, which is expected to be the curtain raiser to the finals of a three-week tournament for eight teams from the various Traditional Areas under the Asogli State promises to pull an enthusiastic soccer-loving crowd.
The up-coming game is presently the talk of the town with the two sides promising to exhibit their skills to carry the day.
Many organizations and individuals including the Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Captain George Nfodjo have so far made promises to the media team, urging them to go all out to win the match.
Inspirational players of the Media Eleven including Kafui Kanyi, Victor Kwawukume, Tim Dzamboe, Ofori Marfo, Eric Afeavo, George Momade and Tony Bebli are expected to help the media team carry the day against the expected line-up of Francis Dowetin, Fred Oppong, Renata Biney and marksman Ekow Aggrey Fynn to do the trick for Explicit International.
Meanwhile, Takla FC lads would lock horns against Anlokordzi FC for the third position while Dome FC face Heve/Ahoe FC combination in the final encounter of the tournament for the ultimate winner.Source: GNA
