Megan Thee Stallion isn’t letting the naysayers get her down.
The Houston native addressed her haters and those that doubted her following Tory Lanez’s 10-year sentencing during her performance at Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
"Being a hot girl, in general, is just not fuckin' easy," Meg told her audience. "I really appreciate y'all. So today I just wanna say, fuck all my haters. None of that shit you was doing or saying broke me. None of that shit y'all was doing or saying to the hotties broke them. I want all the hotties to put they muthafuckin' middle finger up, right now."
Lanez was handed his 10-year sentence on Aug. 8 over the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, having been found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a concealed and loaded firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence.
Lanez took to Instagram to issue a statement on Aug. 10, saying he was wrongfully convicted.
"I have never let a hard time intimidate me I never never let no jail time eliminate me," he wrote. "Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will."
He continued, "This week in court I took responsibility for all the verbal and intimate moments I shared with the parties involved...That's it. In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I'm being wrongfully accused of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do."
