Reports indicate that the late President John Atta Mills may be buried at the forecourt of Parliament House. Joy News' Sammy Darko reported he saw government officials inspecting the space suggested for the burial. The spot is close to the Military cemetery and lies near the fountain in Parliament. A member of the Funeral Planning Committee, Nana Ato Dadzie will neither confirm nor deny the report except to say that a number of proposals have been made including the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum. He gave the assurance that by the close of day today, a determination of the burial place will be made.
