The Ministry of Youth and Sports has congratulated Joseph Agbeko for winning the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Bantamweight title over the weekend.
Agbeko recorded a unanimous victory over Colombian Yohnny Perez at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington last Saturday to reclaim the title he lost last November.
Ms Akua Sena Dansua, Minister of Youth and Sports in a statement signed on behalf of the Government praised the technical team of the boxer on the adequate preparations towards the bout.
"The unanimous verdict clearly shows your understanding, performance and your determination to die for Mother Ghana."
She also wished the boxer the best in his new role as the IBF champion.Source: GNA
